Science Magazine Research

 Science magazines are publications that show news, scientific onions, and reports of science. This type of magazines are written for people who enjoy learning about science but are not experts on science. While some magazines are aimed for experts in the science field, they are less popular.

Science magazines often use blues, greens, and purple on the cover to give the magazine are more scientific and futuristic feel when looking at it. Blue is strongly associated with the sky and space while green is associated with nature which are two common topics explored in these science magazines.  While the science magazines that are aimed at experts usually would use a black or white color scheme with some color on the cover. Staying with a black or white color to give a more professional look for the cover. Focusing on an audience of actual professionals and not an audience of readers that they have to reel in with new and exciting graphics with blasts of colors.

 

General science magazines will have a focus in on short articles with high quality photographs and illustrations to, while nature and environmental will have also have the same characteristics as general science magazines they will tend to be more thought provoking. They focus on issues like climate change and issues similar, to this, encouraging readers to think about the these problems and potential actions  they can do past reading the magazine. Research and academic magazines will have a more professional design with minimalistic layout with graphs, citations, and peer reviewed studies. 

I have thoroughly enjoyed researching science magazine, science has always a subject that I have always enjoyed in school and out of school, often reading science magazines when I was younger. However I still think that sports magazine will be better option for me, plus I would enjoy it more creating a sports magazine.
