Conventions of a Magazine

Continuing my research, I'm researching the conventions of a magazine to learn what I need in order to be successful in creating my own magazine. The front cover is the first thing a person sees before reading it, including an image that catches them to read your magazine is important. Including a title and image that fits your genre. Fashion magazines usually would show celebrities all dressed up. A bold title is important as well as cover lines to hint what is in the magazine.

Table of contents are important as it provides the reader with an organized layout of all the magazine has to feature.  Sometimes would have a picture or text to describe the content of that page.

Feature articles are the stories and interviews in the magazine. Usually new that is told as a story, going in depth about a certain topic. They can be both visually driven or long form depending of the genre.
