Feature Article
This is my complete feature article, ready to be put in my magazine.
Soccer has always been more than just a sport for him. It’s a major part of his life. From a young age he’s always been a fan of soccer. Coming from his dad who was a huge soccer fan. Some of the first memories he has is playing soccer with his dad. Watching his father’s excitement for soccer, he grew up to have that same excitement. Over the last few years, soccer has become a larger part of his life.
Just like many famous athletes, he too had a role model. Someone who inspires him to continue putting the work in. Lionel Messi. Messi is extremely talented for his skills and his exciting play style as well as his relentless perseverance. To him, Messi is more than just the best player in the world. He is proof that hard work matters. Watching Messi’s early years has reinforced the idea that success is not just based on someone’s talent but their own hard work. He feels that looking up to someone who embodies hard work would influence him to continue to work tirelessly and to achieve his goals no matter how difficult.
His daily routine is a jam packed one. His average mornings begin at around 6:30 AM as he gets ready for school. At 3:30 PM, he goes straight to soccer practice, training until 6:00 PM. Once practice ends, he focuses on schoolwork, completing any homework, eats dinner, and then gets sleep before doing it all over the following day. While he loves soccer, balancing both school and soccer can be difficult for him. He feels the pressure of managing a schedule that's packed like this, struggling to balance everything during his days.
Soccer is not just a hobby for him, he dreams of being able to pursue it at the next level. Playing college soccer would be an incredible experience for him, The thought of competing at a higher level excites him, and he wants to put in the necessary work to make this dream become reality. Soccer has already played such a significant role in his life now and earlier, now he wants it to be a part of life later too.
One of the toughest challenges he faced was dealing with a major injury. Two years ago, during a soccer game he came off the field injured. Later going to the doctor and confirming it was a ACL tear. This injury forced him to step away from soccer for nearly 10 months for his own health. The recovery process was physically and mentally hard for him. Not being able to play the sport he grew up playing. When the time came to finally return to the field he was overjoyed. When he began to train again he felt like he could no longer keep up with his teammates. Demotivated, quitting was a thought that kept popping up in his head. However, the support from his teammates and coaches was the sole reason why he kept going. Their support helped him get his confidence back and spark his passion for the game again.
Beyond games, competitions, and practices it brings him a sense of fulfillment. He enjoys playing along with his teammates and his friends. No matter what he always finds the hard work worth it in the end. Each time he puts on his boots he finds it as an escape, somewhere he can truly be himself.

Edited Photos
I had decided to cut out all the background for some of my photos, leaving this looking like this. I thought the background really did not good in the photo, for the first one. For the second photo I thought it didn't add anything to the photo and it would look so much better with out the background

Cover
Edited Photo
I edited my photo for my magazine. I felt like it was too dark since it was taken at night, I went into photoshop and I upped the saturations of the image. As well I zoomed in the photo to make the player bigger and fit more what a typical magazine would have.
